Product Description

The Nehalem pant is based on traditional pants worn by Thai fishermen in Eastern Asia. It could be recognized by its one-size-fits-all and very baggy appearance. It is a loose-fitting pant which is tied to fit by wrapping.

Although still considered a loose-fitting wrap, The Nehalem has since been slimmed down and has been graded to allow better fit to your size. For a more fabulously looking and fitted back view, the back rise now has bit of curve to its rise. The pants could feature either the cropped version or the long version. No closures to sew.

The same is true with the The Nehalem skirt. It also takes after the fisherman pant with its wraps and ties making it is easy to fit and wear. Features of the Nehalem skirt include vertical front and back seaming, oversized side patch pockets and a wide waistband that can be easily worn upright and tied or folded down.

Two versions of the skirts are above the knee version and a tea length version.

All versions have 2 options for the waistband construction. It is a double layered, more finished waistband construction (option #1) or a single layer, longer (option #2) that is less bulky.

Make any version using a luxurious fabric then wear it in combination with heels for a more dressed up look. You could also try lightweight denim to make a fresh take on jeans or sew it in funky printed cotton. It may easily become your favourite piece of loungewear. If you wish to make your pants appear less bulky and more slim, then you might want to sew in fabrics with some drape like the denim Tencel.

On the other hand, the skirt looks great in a fabric that has more body. One thing is for sure, options are infinite with regards to creative dressing ideas with this pattern.
